COW AND CHICKEN – Original Hanna-Barbera Production Cel, “Tongue Sandwich” (1998)

Original hand-painted production cel from Hanna-Barbera's Cow and Chicken, the surreal Cartoon Network series created by David Feiss.

This striking scene comes from “Tongue Sandwich,” from Season 2 (1998), in which Cow's tongue unexpectedly escapes and causes chaos around town. The artwork features the Red Guy and Cow's runaway tongue in a wonderfully energetic scene characteristic of the series. The episode aired on Cartoon Network on 27 January 1998.

The original character artwork was transferred to clear acetate and hand-painted on the reverse in the traditional television-animation process used before the industry moved predominantly to digital production.

The cel is accompanied by its Laser print presentation background and is displayed in a wooden frame with a wide archival-style mount. A Cartoon Network official animation-art seal, serial number 003875, is visible along the lower edge of the artwork.
